GovPlus Capitol Consulting Expands Staff

GovPlus Capitol Consulting, Inc. has hired Rich Clemmons to serve as the company's director of state legislation.

Rich has served as a public policy manager and liaison to government and external entities for 36 years, working with local, state, and federal government agencies and elected officials, organizations, and individuals related to agriculture, general business, and other organizations. He is knowledgeable and experienced in the political and legislative processes and requirements for implementing public policy initiatives. Rich has extensive work experience with volunteers, media, interest groups, and organizational representatives within legislative and political processes. He has also helped clients establish relationships for collaboration and strategic utilization.

Rich has a bachelor of science in education from Illinois State University and is a past president of the ISU Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is an ex officio member of the ISU Foundation Board of Directors and is the current president of the University of Illinois 4-H Foundation Board of Directors. He has served on the Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals for the town of Normal, Illinois.
